REGIONAL INFERENCE
Southwest-Monsoon has been vigorous over Uttar Pradesh. The axis of monsoon trough at mean sea level now passes through Anupgarh, Sikar, centre of well marked low pressure area, Daltonganj, Jharsuguda, Balasore and thence eastwards to northeast Bay of Bengal. The well marked low pressure area over Northern parts of central Madhya Pradesh now lies over Southwest-Uttar Pradesh and adjoining Northwest-Madhya Pradesh and associated cyclonic circulation extends upto 7.6 km above mean sea level. The trough from the above system to Konkan at 3.1 km above mean sea level from Uttarakhand to south Konkan across West-Uttar Pradesh, West-Madhya Pradesh and Madhya-Maharashtra persists. The cyclonic circulation over Northwest Rajasthan & neighbourhood extending upto 0.9km above mean sea level persists. The western disturbance as a trough in mid and upper tropospheric westerlies with its axis 5.8 km above mean sea level roughly along Longitude 65.0°E to the north of Latitude 25.0°N persists.
